Pupil Council

Drumoak School Pupil Council was formed on the 13th of November 2006.

This session there are three pupil representatives from each Primary 2 – 7 class. The council meets approximately once a month with Mrs Carroll. Two senior pupils undertake the role of Chairperson and Vice Chairperson and were elected by the other council members.

The Pupil Council is an important part of school life as it teaches the pupils to be responsible citizens from a young age and allows them to be actively involved in decision-making and to make a positive contribution to their school and the wider community.

To date the council has been responsible for improvements to the playground, lunch hall, tuck shop, wooded area and the school building.

They have also organised various fundraising events for charities both at home and abroad.

Any pupil can ask a council representative to raise an issue or suggestion on his/her behalf.
